The County of Cheshire is requesting a detailed proposal from qualified contractors for the grading and surfacing of sections of the Cheshire Rail Trail through the Town of Westmoreland. The Cheshire Rail Trail through Westmoreland has recently been cleared and nine sections of trail totaling approximately 1.2 miles have been identified to be graded and have surface material applied. Contractors must be familiar with trail construction and maintenance standards and environmental regulations, as well as familiar with restrictions and obligations around federal funding.
Proposals must be submitted in PDF format and include pricing rates, timeline, and availability. The proposal deadline is noon (12:00pm) June 12, and submissions received after this date will not be considered. Contractors should direct questions to Jen Robinson at jenrobinson@co.cheshire.nh.us by noon (12pm) June 5, 2025. The county reserves the right to reject bids or award based on the proposal that best meets the County’s needs and budget.
