Professional Affiliation

This class is exclusively for individuals who work or volunteer for a municipality or nonprofit that serves Cheshire County residents. You may temporarily volunteer for an eligible organization in order to take this course if the arrangement is agreed upon in advance of the final acceptance and approval of this application to the Cheshire County Grant Writing Course. (30-character limit per field.)

Narrative Responses

Provide a thorough, yet concise response for each question below. Responses will be used to assess the applicant’s alignment with selection criteria and priorities: (1) Municipalities are preferred and will be given priority over applicants representing other organizations. (2) Applicants must demonstrate high certainty for perfect attendance. (3) Applicants must demonstrate high probability for being able to complete an entire grant writing process with priority for students more likely to have a result of an application submission. (4) Applicants with lowest levels of experience and training in grant writing will be given priority over applicants with more experience and/or training.
This class is designed for people with minimal to no grant writing experience or training. (1,000-character limit.)
This class is designed for people who will proactively write a grant for their organization. (1,000-character limit.)
This class is intended for people who will write a grant during the course, and although submission optional, the intention is for the student to complete the full grant writing process. (1,000-character limit.)
This class requires your weekly attendance for six Thursdays, Aug 28 to Oct 2, 2025, from 9am to at least 1pm, plus the time it would take to commute to it, and practice the homework exercises. (1,000-character limit.)

Your Agreement

This course doesn’t cost money, but is also not free. It is an in-kind grant. Before the first day, students will execute an In-Kind Grant Agreement asserting their understanding and acceptance of the Grant Course Grant Agreement Terms and Conditions, which include meeting eligibility conditions, attending all the classes, and certifying they will complete the grant writing process for at least one grant within six months.
