Supplemental 2022 Budget Appropriation

SUBJECT: Supplemental 2022 Budget appropriation
Enclosed is a summary of the Cheshire County Supplemental Budget for 2022 and a notice of a Public Hearing. The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 7:00 PM on the second floor of Cheshire County Hall, 12 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431 on the supplemental appropriation.
The supplemental budget appropriation will not have an impact on taxes to be raised in 2022 but will increase appropriations for the receipt of additional ProShare Funds, added use of ARPA funds, and the overall cost for the Sheriff Dispatch Infrastructure Upgrade.
The total amended 2022 budget proposal is $74,139,762. This figure represents an increase from the original adopted budget of $4,652,032.
The amendments include the receipt of additional ProShare funds in the amount of $3,396,366 of which $1,395,000 is requests for new expenses with the remaining $2,001,366 to be set aside to offset future year budgets and taxes to be raised; $740,000 for additional use of ARPA funds and a total of $2,517,032 for the overall project cost for the Sheriff Dispatch Infrastructure Upgrade.
The meeting will be available by Zoom; however, a quorum of the Delegation must be physically present for the vote on the Capital Lease and supplemental budget. If it is not reasonably practical for your presence, please let us know in advance. Zoom information is below:
